Build Community and Transform YOUR World through Dance

The cultural climate of our society often leaves us feeling voiceless and victimized. Division, ignorance and fear surround us. In times like these, we need to be reminded of our incredible strength, the power of our community and our joy!

Through dance and dialogue, Contra-Tiempo Urban Latin Dance Theater, a bold and multilingual Los Angeles-based company, is dedicated to transforming the world by creating spaces of joy and healing that allow us to feel more connected, loved, powerful and alive.

The professional dance company is coming to Harrisburg from Feb. 11-12, 2019, through the Live at Rose Lehrman Performing Artist Series at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.

“We are thrilled by the opportunities we will have to work directly with the Harrisburg community through master classes with youth, Sabor Sessions with families and conversations with local artists and educators! The work of radical joy is ongoing and happens both on and off stage,” said Ana Maria Alvarez, Contra-Tiempo Urban Latin Dance Theater founder.
