If you ask some really old people how would they describe in one phrase the speed of life, they will probably say something like, “It goes by like a sigh.”
Think about where you were seven years ago. What would you say? Were you living in the same city or country? Were you married? How old were your children? Where did you work or study? How old were you? What was your economic situation? Where are you now? Are you standing up in the life you dreamed of? If not, are you at least close to achieving it?
Well, you know what? It doesn’t matter any more, because what matters is what you do right now.
Obviously, yesterday was your present, and by the time you finish reading this article, it will already be your past. I know, it is kind of complicated to understand but, at the same time, really easy.
Of course, if you are the kind of person who likes to plan ahead of time and be prepared for any inconvenient situation in life, the type of person who aims to control his or her own life, you probably are where you want despite the obstacles and difficulties in life. If you are not, and you tend to take the day as it comes, then you don’t really worry about the future.
What really matters is to do what you feel and think is better for you at the present moment, being truly here and now, aware of your mission in life at the time.
It doesn’t matter who you were in your country of origin or where you used to live, work or study. What matters is what you are doing right at this instant, because that would determine where you will be in the next hour, day, month, year or the rest of your life.
I wish you are just where you want to be and doing just what you dreamed.
